Patient Medical Support Coordinator
Melissa studied mortuary science at Vincennes University. Following her studies, she worked at financial institutions for 12 years. Deciding she wanted to pursue a career in the medical arena, she attended Med Tech College in 2006 and graduated with a degree in Medical Assisting. She became certified in 2008. Melissa did her Medical Assisting Program externship at Indiana Health Group (IHG) in 2007 and was then employed by IHG. Shortly thereafter she began working with Dr. Waldo.
Melissa is responsible for addressing patient medical questions and concerns in-between visits. She assists Dr. Waldo with client visits and calls in medication refills. In consultation with Dr. Waldo, she reviews treatment plans with patients providing clarification, detailed explanations and assistance in ways to implement treatment. She assists with questions pertaining to supplements including when to take them, possible reactions, and an explanation of what each supplement is intended to do. Melissa is trained to conduct reviews of ammonia, catacholamine, molybdenum and thyroid labs, to develop treatment plans based on lab results.
Working with Dr. Waldo since 2007, Melissa has gained an in-depth knowledge of his unique, scientific approach including biochemical malfunctions, inflammation, pathogens, environmental toxins, hormonal and gastrointestinal issues, methylation, and genetics. She is well versed in ozone therapy, the utilization of chelation, and the employment of supplements to aid the body’s healing process.
